Personality Traits of Animals

This web page requires Javascript, which is not enabled on your browser.  If you decide you want to use this page, go to your browser settings and enable it.  Javascript dramatically reduces the number of server calls the program has to make.

This page has a safe and fun exercise of vocabulary and knowledge of personality traits of animals.  There is no age limit, as long as reading is not an issue.

Click on a personality trait to highlight it.  Then click on an animal to assign the highlighted trait to that animal.    If you decide on a different trait before assigning one to an animal simply click on a new one and the highlight will change.

If you click on an animal without highlighting a trait, any trait the animal has already been assigned is returned to the trait board.  To assign a new trait simply proceed as usual and the old one, if there, is automatically returned to the trait board.

All the animals have several traits of course and many animals have some traits in common !   The task here however is to find the one trait that especially characterizes each animal more than the other animals in the list.  It could get difficult.  This software will only allow each trait to be used on one animal at a time and each animal to be assigned one trait at a time.

There is no penalty for changing answers before reaching the end.  It might be best to use that feature since so many of the animals have similar traits.  When the last remaining trait is assigned to the last remaining animal a score will appear in "the computer program says" box showing the number of answers deemed "best" according to this progam.  That box is used for other communication as well.

Changing answers at that time is still allowed but the "retry count" goes up by one every time the last remaining trait is assigned to the last remaining animal.  Be careful to change all uncertain choices before that.  If the retry count gets embarrasingly high, the web page may be reloaded to start all fresh from the beginning.
